Varsteel Ltd. Expands Coast-to-Coast with Strategic Acquisition of ACIER SIMMONDS LTÉE. AND ACIER MENARD LTÉE.

Lethbridge, Alberta – October 8, 2026 - VARSTEEL LTD., headquartered in Lethbridge, Alberta, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Acier Simmonds in Sherbrooke, Quebec and Acier Menard, in Granby, Quebec, (Groupe David).

This acquisition further expands our market presence in the province of Quebec, building on the three most recent acquisitions, Acier Quebec-Maritimes, Victoria Steel (Acier Victoria) and Pacific Steel (Acier Pacifique).

Established in 1954, Acier Simmonds and Acier Menard have built a strong presence as a full-line steel and aluminum service centers, proudly serving their customers throughout Quebec.

This strategic move strengthens Varsteel’s coast-to-coast footprint and further enhances its ability to meet the growing demands of customers across Canada and the United States.
